Projects

The scope for this New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) project includes the implementation of safety improvements at the westbound Northern State Parkway exit ramp at the Glen Cove Road / NYS Route 25 intersection in the Town of North Hempstead. The scope of work also includes widening Glen Cove Road to provide an additional left-turn lane on northbound Glen Cove Road at NYS Route 25 (Jericho Turnpike), rebuilding the signal on NYS Route 25 at Glen Cove Road, installing narrow-raised median barrier between northbound and southbound Glen Cove Road on the southern leg of the Glen Cove Road / NYS Route 25 intersection, and installing new signals at the intersection of the westbound Northern Parkway exit ramp at Glen Cove Road.

A Draft Design Report / Final Design Report (DDR / FDR) is being prepared for redesign of the Northern State Parkway exit ramp intersection and to obtain design approval. The scope of work also includes preparation of preliminary design (phases I-IV) plans.

KC is responsible for providing traffic engineering services, including crash analysis, analysis of Synchro models, and right-of-way (ROW) and topographic survey of the project site, including supplemental survey of the Glen Cove Road / NYS Route 25 intersection, development of ROW taking maps, and transfer of jurisdiction maps.
